WARREN COUNTY, Miss. (VDN) — A Warren County man was arrested early Saturday morning following a single-vehicle crash that led to his third DUI offense.

According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a wreck around 3 a.m. Saturday, August 2, on Freetown Road near Culkin Road. Authorities say 22-year-old Matthew Jagger Ryals was driving a 2018 Nissan when he ran off the road. No other vehicles were involved.

When deputies arrived, Ryals reportedly refused to submit to a field sobriety test. He was taken into custody and formally charged with his third offense of driving under the influence.

Under Mississippi law, a third DUI offense is classified as a felony. Ryals is scheduled to appear in Warren County Court on Monday morning.
