Six Warren Central powerlifters qualify for North

VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — Six members of the Warren Central High School boys powerlifting team qualified for the North State meet after finishing in the top three at last week’s district competition.

The Vikings advancing are:

  • Samuel Ross, first place, 220-pound weight class
    • 500-pound squat
    • 300-pound bench press
    • 600-pound deadlift
  • Chase Johnson, first place, 165-pound weight class
    • 405-pound squat
    • 200-pound bench press
    • 475-pound deadlift
  • Quentin King, third place, 165-pound weight class
    • 305-pound squat
    • 165-pound bench press
    • 365-pound deadlift
  • Rod Ford, third place, 132-pound weight class
    • 330-pound squat
    • 165-pound bench press
    • 365-pound deadlift
  • Anthony Strawbridge, third place, 181-pound weight class
    • 325-pound squat
    • 230-pound bench press
    • 445-pound deadlift
  • Mark Norwood, second place, 198-pound weight class
    • 325-pound squat
    • 195-pound bench press
    • 345-pound deadlift

The North State meet will be held March 5 at Neshoba Central High School.
