PCA Junior High softball picks up two tournament wins
Porter’s Chapel Academy Junior High softball team achieved two victories in a home tournament, defeating Tallulah Academy 14-12 and Jackson Prep 14-7, showcasing strong offensive performances and solid pitching throughout the games.

Porter’s Chapel Academy Junior High softball picked up two wins Saturday while hosting a tournament, defeating Tallulah Academy 14-12 and Jackson Prep 14-7.
The Lady Eagles’ offense produced several key hits in the win over Tallulah Academy. Haylee White doubled and drove in one run, while Lauren Rae Davis and Raedon Busby each recorded a hit and two RBIs.
Marley Busby, Kylie Pool and Maggie Clune each finished with one hit and one RBI. J. Chapin also recorded a hit for PCA.
In the circle, White struck out three batters, while Poole added one strikeout in the victory.
PCA followed with a 14-7 win over Jackson Prep. Raedon Busby and Chapin recorded the Lady Eagles’ only hits, but PCA took advantage of multiple walks to generate offense and secure its second victory of the day.
Davis also drove in a run against Jackson Prep, while White struck out one batter in the circle. Raedon and Marley Busby both had three runs each while Davis, Julianna Sumrall and Poole scored two apiece. White and Anniston Ford had one run.
The two victories capped a successful tournament for the Lady Eagles on their home field.
