Missy Gators cruise past Natchez in three sets

Vicksburg High School’s volleyball teams secured victories against Natchez High School, with the varsity squad winning in three sets and the junior varsity team also sweeping their match. Alaina Williams led the varsity with 17 points.

Vicksburg High School’s volleyball teams picked up a pair of road victories Tuesday night as both the varsity and junior varsity squads defeated Natchez High School.

The Missy Gators’ varsity team earned a three-set sweep, winning 26-22, 25-13 and 25-15.

Alaina Williams led Vicksburg with 17 points and added 12 digs. Kenley Henderson finished with 12 points and six digs, while Zaria Jones recorded 11 points, 10 digs and one ace.

Jermaria Wright contributed 10 points and a team-high 15 digs. Harmony Harris added eight points and four digs, while Madisyn Kimble finished with six points and one ace.

Zipporah Drake recorded three points and eight digs, Divine Tulloch had two points and six digs, and Ny’Keria Watson finished with four points and three digs. Layla Johnson recorded seven digs, while Peyton White added six digs.

Vicksburg’s junior varsity team also earned a sweep, defeating Natchez 25-15 and 25-11.

Kamaya Watson led the JV squad with 13 points, seven digs and two aces. Kimble, who also contributed for the varsity team, recorded 12 points, four digs and one ace.

Imani Kelly finished with 11 points, four digs and one ace, while Maleah Davis added six points and four digs. Reagan Hill scored five points, and Khaliyah Thompson contributed three points and three digs.

Kitana Green finished with one point and three digs, Alexandria Harris scored one point, and Lately Truitt recorded two digs. Jakia Truitt added four digs.
