Vicksburg volleyball sweeps Holmes County Central on the road
Vicksburg High School’s volleyball team achieved a decisive victory against Holmes County Central, winning all three sets in their recent match. The junior varsity team also secured a win, showcasing strong performances from multiple players.
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —
Vicksburg High School’s volleyball team continued its winning ways Thursday night, sweeping Holmes County Central in three sets on the road.
The Missy Gators controlled the varsity match from start to finish, earning a 25-17, 25-10, 25-10 victory. The win came one night after VHS defeated Canton in four sets.
Vicksburg received contributions throughout its lineup. Jermaria Wright finished with 13 points, 15 digs and an ace, while Kenley Henderson recorded 10 points and 13 digs.
Divine Tulloch added eight points and 14 digs, and Zaria Jones finished with 11 points and 13 digs. Nykeria Watson contributed seven points and 13 digs, while Harmony Harris recorded five points and 13 digs.
Zipporah Drake finished with six points and 15 digs, and Alaina Williams recorded 11 points, seven digs and two aces. Madisyn Kimble added two points and five digs, while Peyton White finished with two points.
Vicksburg’s junior varsity team also picked up a sweep, defeating Holmes County Central 25-17, 25-14.
Imani Kelly helped lead the JV squad with three aces, nine points and 16 digs. Kamaya Wilson recorded three aces, 13 points and 10 digs, while Madisyn Kimble contributed two aces, 10 points and 11 digs.
Ta’liyah McDaniel added eight points and six digs, Khaliyah Thompson finished with six points and eight digs, Kitana Green had one point and four digs, Rania Kilpatrick recorded one point and three digs, and Jakia Truitt finished with two points and four digs.
