LORMAN – Alcorn State men’s basketball secured its second straight victory of the season outlasting Alabama State 67-65 on Monday evening at the Davey L. Whitney Health & Physical Education Complex.

Jalyke Gaines-Wyatt led the Braves with 13 points and six clutch free throws in the final minutes to seal the win. Marcus Tankersley also scored 13 points while grabbing six rebounds, and Djahi Binet added 10 points, including six from the charity stripe. Alcorn’s defense stood tall in critical moments, holding off a late surge from Alabama State to clinch the victory.

First Half – Alcorn 32, Alabama State 30

  • The Braves started strong, with Tankersley and Binet scoring early in the paint.
