Vicksburg, Miss.-Vicksburg native Brycen Jones has been selected to participate in the Exact Sports Basketball Camp in Spain. Jones, who recently played basketball at Vicksburg High School, received the invitation to showcase his skills to scouts overseas this month.

“I was happy about this when I first found out but I’m still in disbelief,” Jones said. “I’m looking forward to showing what I can do while I’m around some of the best athletes.”

In just a few weeks, Jones will fly from Atlanta to New York then off to Spain. At the camp, he will receive training from pro athletes. He will also be granted the opportunity to meet college coaches to be evaluated on his skill set. Jones will also receive recruitment tips on how to get himself noticed by schools so that he can play on the next level.

Jones currently stands at 6’4 and has been playing varsity basketball since the ninth grade. Last year he was named MVP of the Prep Hoops Basketball Camp. The Camp was held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he scored 21 points, 11 rebounds, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in the championship game.

VDN will provide details about Brycen’s upcoming success after his trip overseas.
