Plenty of gas in Vicksburg

The Vicksburg Daily News visited gas stations throughout the community to check on supplies.

Every gas station we visited was busy with almost every pump being used and people waiting in line. Those visited include the Bovina Grocery, Super Junior on 61 North, both stations at I-20 and Indiana, and Murphys on 61 South along with driving by most of the stations in between.

There were no outages other than a couple of failed pumps. People were noticed filling gas cans and topping off their vehicles.

As the storm enters Warren County Sunday afternoon and evening, high winds are expected and they will knock down trees which will take out power lines. Emergency management is advising everyone to stay off of the roads and to check on their elderly or disabled neighbors.
