Sandlot Legends 8u won the Grand Slam Tournament

The Sandlot of Vicksburg Legends 8u baseball team won the Grand Slam Tournament on Saturday after a 10-8 victory over the Madison Mudcats.
The Legends were down 5-0 to start the game but quickly responded after Richie May hit a double while Clayton Muirhead and Carter Lindsey singled to put the score at 5-3. Sandlot would eventually tie the game at six in the second inning after Darrington Carraway hit a triple while Lindsey, Muirhead, Pierson O’Bryant, Mims DeMoville, Kai Tillman and Austin Malone all hit singles.
The third inning would be profitable for the Sandlot as they earned multiple runs once Nicholas Tillotson and Adam Harrison both hit triples while Antwan Reeves Jr., Malone, O’Bryant and Carraway all smashed singles. The Mudcats picked up two late runs but it wasn’t enough to defeat the Legends.
Muirhead, Malone, O’Bryant(1 RBI), Carraway(1 RBI) and Lindsey(2 RBIs) all had two hits in the win. May(1 RBI), Nathan Palmer(2 RBIs), Reeves, Harrison(1 RBI), Tillotson(1 RBI),Tillman and DeMoville,(2 RBIs) each had a hit.
