UPDATE – 1:02 p.m. – Three more arrests have been made in relation to the homicide on June 6 at the convenience store on Halls Ferry at Gibson.
An additional suspect, Wilmar Johnson, 23, was also charged with drive-by shooting and murder. Just moments ago, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office arrested the other two suspects, Jermain Johnson and Calvert Cosby. “I cannot say enough good things about the cooperation we received from our fellow sheriff in Shelby County. We are now awaiting word back from Tennessee and Texas to see if these individuals are going to waive extradition,” said Sheriff Pace.
All suspect are being charged with drive-by shooting and first-degree murder. The Sheriff is confident additional charges will be filed as the investigation progresses.
“The cooperation of the Vicksburg Police Department investigators who worked closely with Sheriff’s Office investigators cannot be praised enough. Investigators worked together seemlessly. That cooperation was key to these arrests being made,” said Pace.
