VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Warren Central Junior High School track athlete Kaleb Todman remains undefeated in the 400-meter dash as he prepares for the upcoming Little Six Championship.

Todman, an eighth grader at WCJHS, has won the event in his last five meets. His personal-best time stands at 55.43 seconds.

“This feels nice, but I’ve got a long way to go because there might be better competition out there, so I’m going to do whatever I can to win,” Todman said.

At last week’s meet in Germantown, Todman anchored the 4×400-meter relay and helped secure a victory for the Vikings. The relay team remains undefeated this season.

“It’s a lot of pressure sometimes, but everyone on the team trusts me, so I try to live up to that expectation,” he said.

Todman credited Coaches Batty and West for their guidance throughout the season. The team will travel to Pearl on Tuesday to compete in the championship.

“If you go against my team, just know we’re coming for you,” he said.
