VHS, WC and St. Aloysius soccer teams grabbed wins one Thursday

Vicksburg, Ms-Vicksburg High School, Warren Central and St. Aloysius soccer teams all grabbed wins on Thursday night.

VHS:

The Missy Gators defeated McLaurin 4-1 where Amari Johnson scored three goals. Trinity McGloster also scored a goal in the win while Lili Kistler grabbed eight saves.

The VHS boys tied 0-0 with McLaurin and Arthur Davis finished with eight saves. 

The Gators are coached by Maurice Gilliam and they will travel to play in the Laurel Tournament on Saturday. 

St. Aloysius:

The Flashes shutout Cathedral 7-0 to start their season on a positive note.

Carter Smithhart had a goal and an assist, while Corbin Burroughs had a goal and an assist. Eli Shiers had a goal and an assist, and Cole Butler had a goal in the first half. Dalton Windham allowed no goals in the first half at goalie. He also had a goal and 2 assists, while Jack Dickerson had a goal, and Vaylor Smith had a goal in the second half. Carson Tucker made 2 saves and allowed 0 goals in the second half. 

JV lost 5-3. 

Mason Bourne scored 2 goals and had an assist. Louis Amborn scored a goal, and Henry Bell had an assist. 

The Flashes are coached by Jay Madison and their next game will be on Tuesday at Cathedral.

Warren Central:

The Vikings defeated St. Andrews 2-1 to improve to 3-0 on the year. Luke Bond and Jacob Porter both scored one goal each while Jamarian Shelly grabbed six saves. Duke Esparza had an assist.

The Lady Vikes took a 4-0 loss.
