Vicksburg High rolls past Provine 21-2 for district win

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Vicksburg High School baseball team picked up another district victory with a 21-2 win over Provine, improving to 8-5 under head coach Brandon Kincaid.

The Gators tallied seven hits in the win, led by Allan Allen, who recorded two hits and one RBI, including a triple. Abel Gonzalez also tripled and drove in one run.

Jacobie Simpson, Gonzalez (one RBI), Kobe Cartwright (one RBI), J’Marion Young (one RBI) and Ashton Harris (two RBIs) each finished with one hit in the victory.

Adrian Lee delivered a strong performance on the mound, striking out seven batters while allowing just one hit.

Vicksburg High will travel to face Ridgeland today at 3 p.m.
