Vikings picked up a road win against Ridgeland

Warren Central High School baseball team started the week off right with a 5-2 victory over Ridgeland.

Maddox Lynch popped things off with a two-run home run to start the game. Lester Martin hit a triple in the second but the Vikings maintained their two-run lead.

Conner Watkins hit an RBI in the third to put WC up by three. RHS got on the board in the fourth but the Vikings responded in the fifth with two more runs after a double by Cade Fairley.

The Titans picked up one more late run but WC captured the win.

Watkins struck out nine batters in the win. Ryan Nelson, Watkins, Martin, Fairley(2 RBIs) and Lynch all had one hit in the win.

WC will host Ridgeland on Saturday.
