VWSD to offer free summer meals for children

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Vicksburg Warren School District will once again provide free summer meals to pre-registered children ages 0 to 18 in Warren County.
The program will run Monday through Friday from June 2 through June 27, 2025. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 9 a.m., and lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meals will be provided for pick-up only at designated school locations. Children must be present to receive meals, which will be grab-and-go. Students are permitted to eat onsite with their adult’s supervision if desired.
Bus delivery for the summer meals program has been discontinued.
Meal pickup locations include:
- Beechwood Elementary School, 999 MS-27
- Dana Road Elementary/Vicksburg Intermediate, 1245 Dana Road
- Warren Central Junior High School, 1630 Rosa A. Temple Drive
Parents or guardians must complete an online registration form by May 22, only one form should be filled out per household. The form is available at: https://forms.gle/o4Si3yazheEMrLPz7
No meals will be provided without pre-registration. The form should include the names and ages of all children requesting meals.
