Water meter changeout announced citywide for Vicksburg

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The City of Vicksburg has launched a citywide mass meter changeout project aimed at upgrading water meters and improving utility service for residents, according to a city press release.

Over the next several months, authorized contractors will install more modern and efficient water meters at properties throughout the city. The initiative is part of the city’s broader effort to increase service reliability and operational efficiency.

Residents do not need to schedule appointments for the upgraded a water meter. Installation teams will conduct work during regular business hours and will be clearly identified as official contractors for the City of Vicksburg.

City officials ask for residents’ patience and cooperation throughout the project.
