Warren Central High School baseball team traveled across town and came out with a 12-1 victory over Vicksburg High School.

A sacrifice from Lester Martin and a double by Hayes Loper gave the Vikings a quick 3-0 lead. Vicksburg’s Tyler Carter responded with a double to get the Gators on the board to put the score at 3-1.

A three-run double by Cade Fairley put WC up 6-1 in the second. In the fourth inning, WC earned three runs from errors while Cole Autrey picked up an RBI as the Vikings went up 10-1. A two-run single by Maddox Lynch in the fifth sealed the win as they quickly run-ruled VHS.

Lynch went 2 for 3 with two RBIs while Fairley(3 RBIs), Ryan Nelson, Loper(1 RBI), and Talan Patel all had one hit. Conner Watkins struck out six batters and Lynch struck out two.

Bass and Carter each had a hit for VHS and Chris Green struck out three batters while Kaleb Doss struck out one.
