Flashes defeated Central Hinds 9-5

A productive first inning helped St. Aloysius secure an 9-5 win over Central Hinds on Tuesday night.

Solid hits from Pierson Smith, Walt Andrews, and Barrett Shows along with a few errors helped the Flashes go up 7-0 in the first inning. Pierson also hit an RBI in the second but CH pulled off three runs of their own to put the score at 8-3.

The Flashes didn’t earn another run until the sixth when Pierson grounded out. CH picked up two late runs but it wasn’t enough to defeat the Flashes as they won 9-5.

Keller and Laken Bradley both had two hits along with Clark Hobson(one double). Smith collected three RBIs while Andrews and Shows had one hit and one RBI. Hobson struck out three batters.

St. Al(8-7) will travel to face Providence Classical next Tuesday.
