Lady Vikes Soccer Team Clinched a District Championship

Philadelphia, Miss.-For the second year in a row, the Warren Central High School girls’ soccer team clinched a District Championship. The Lady Vikes officially earned the title as District Champions on Friday night after they traveled to Neshoba Central and came back with a 2-0 shutout.

Jordan Polk scored the first goal of the night just six minutes into the contest and she also scored the second goal with 15 minutes left in the first half while Kennedy Smith came in with the assist. The Lady Vikes outshot Neshoba Central 22-7 in the win. Hayleigh Simmons finished the night with five saves.

WC is coached by Jeremy Lawrence and their first playoff game will be held on February 4.
