Mild temps, fog and rain chances in Vicksburg forecast

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg will see mild temps and patchy fog over the next several days, with a slight chance of showers returning by Friday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers early. Patchy dense fog is expected to form after midnight, with lows in the lower 60s. Winds will shift from the south to light and variable. Rain chances are at 20 percent.

Mild temps will continue on Thursday, mostly sunny after morning fog, with highs in the lower 80s and calm winds becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Thursday night will bring increasing cloud cover and lows in the lower 60s with light winds.

On Friday, skies will be mostly cloudy in the morning before becoming partly sunny. There is a 40 percent chance of showers in the afternoon, with highs in the upper 70s and light north winds.

Friday night will remain mostly cloudy with lows in the lower 60s.
