One seriously injured in motorcycle accident

A motorcycle hit a pickup truck on Confederate at Indiana at 4 p.m.

The motorcycle was heading north on Confederate as the southbound truck was turning onto Indiana. The motorcycle hit the truck in the right front wheel causing significant damage to both vehicles. The motorcyclist appeared to have a head injury and was non-responsive according to numerous people at the scene of the accident.

The young driver of the pickup truck was uninjured but noticeably shaken by the accident.

Numerous units with the VPD, a fire medic unit, Rescue and an investigator were seen at the sight of the accident.

Traffic was flowing slowly but smoothly through the area.
