Two Suspects in the Rash of Shootings and a Murder Face Initial Hearing

VICKSBURG, Miss. – Two suspects connected to the string of shootings earlier this month appeared before a judge for their initial hearing today.

Wilmar DeAndre Johnson, 23, and Willie Johnson, 24, both who claim an address on Greenbriar in Warren County, Mississippi, stood before Judge Southerland. The judge read them their rights and formally charged them.

Authorities charged Wilmar Johnson with First Degree Murder and two counts of Drive-by Shooting. Willie Johnson faces charges of First Degree Murder and two counts of Drive-by Shooting.

Law enforcement arrested Willie Johnson in Tyler, Texas, based on warrants issued by local authorities.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office arrested two additional suspects, Jermain Johnson and Calvert Cosby, on June 14.
