VHS shutout Columbus 15-0

Vicksburg High School baseball team quickly shutout Columbus 15-0 on Wednesday night to pickup a district win.

The Gators earned four runs in the first inning after a Seven West hit a single and Allan Allen hit a couple of RBIs. VHS added three more runs in the second after Tyler Carter hit an inside-the-park home run. VHS put the game away in the third inning after doubles from Carter and Kealon Bass, along with an inside-the-park home run by Braylon Green and RBIs from Mincer Minor IV, Chis Green and Patrick Gray Jr.

Minor and Carter(4 RBIs) both had two hits while Bass, West(1 RBI), Green(4 RBIs) and Peyton Calvin each had one hit. Green threw a no-hitter and struck out four batters.

VHS will host Yazoo County on Thursday.
