WC softball defeated VHS on Thursday
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Warren Central High School softball team rolled to a 29-2 victory over crosstown rival Vicksburg High School in a three-inning contest. With the win, the Lady Vikes improved to 15-7 on the season.
KeKe McKay delivered her second consecutive game with a home run, blasting a three-run shot. She finished with two hits and four RBIs. Maddy Pant was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with an RBI. Anzley Keen added one hit and two RBIs, while KK Williamson recorded one hit and four RBIs. MK Ferguson doubled, and Addi Mullen contributed one hit and one RBI.
Emily Muirhead totaled two RBIs and scored twice. Mary Clell Allred and Mullen each crossed the plate.
For Vicksburg High, Madisyn Kimble recorded an RBI single. Kaci Coleman and Shandrea Lockridge each added a hit, while Harmony Harris drove in one run and struck out four batters.
Eighth-grader Raegan Dean earned the win for Warren Central, striking out four batters.
