Cloudy start, clear and mild midweek ahead

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Cloudy skies and a slight chance of sprinkles will give way to clearing conditions and mild temperatures through midweek, according to the National Weather Service.

Tonight, there is a slight chance of light sprinkles between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m. Skies will become increasingly cloudy, with a low around 62. South-southwest winds at 5 to 10 mph will shift to the northwest after midnight, with gusts up to 20 mph possible.

Tuesday will begin mostly cloudy before clearing later in the morning. The high will reach near 73, with north-northeast winds around 10 mph and gusts as high as 20 mph. Clear skies will return Tuesday night, with a low around 48 and light north winds becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday will be sunny, with a high near 77 and calm winds shifting to the southeast around 5 mph. Mostly clear skies will continue into Wednesday night, with a low around 55 and light winds from the south-southeast.
