Mild weekend forecast with clear skies, warming temperatures

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A mild stretch of weather with clear skies and steadily warming temperatures is expected through the weekend and into early next week, according to the National Weather Service.
Tonight’s forecast calls for clear conditions with a low around 46 degrees. North winds of 10 to 15 mph will become light from the north-northeast after midnight, with gusts up to 20 mph.
Saturday will be sunny with a high near 70. Winds will be calm in the morning, becoming northerly around 5 mph in the afternoon. Saturday night remains clear with a low around 49 and calm winds.
On Sunday, temperatures will climb to near 80 under sunny skies, continuing the mild weekend trend. South winds of 5 to 10 mph may gust up to 20 mph. The clear conditions continue into Sunday night, with a low around 60 and steady south winds near 10 mph.
Monday will bring more sunshine and a high near 83. South-southwest winds around 10 mph could gust as high as 20 mph. Monday night will be partly cloudy with a low near 60, as winds shift from the south-southwest to north-northwest after midnight.
