St. Aloysius took down Clinton Christian on Tuesday; PCA and WC took losses
VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — The St. Aloysius boys’ and girls’ basketball teams both earned wins Tuesday night against Clinton Christian Academy, while Warren Central and Porter’s Chapel Academy suffered losses in their respective contests.
The St. Aloysius boys pulled away for a 54-34 victory over Clinton Christian Academy. Carter Henderson led the Flashes with 12 points while adding six rebounds and three blocks. Sadler Lambiotte followed with 11 points, five rebounds and four assists, and Garrod Bunch contributed 10 points to go along with four rebounds and four assists. Carson Gleese finished with nine points and five rebounds, while Alan Stauts added six points and three assists. Walt Andrews chipped in four points, four rebounds and four steals, and Carson Henderson rounded out the scoring with two points.
The St. Aloysius girls secured a 47-37 win over Clinton Christian Academy, extending their winning streak to five games. Megan Theriot posted a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds while also recording four steals. Taryn Lusby scored 11 points and dished out three assists, and Olivia Larson added 10 points. Farrell Roberson finished with six points and six rebounds, while Kelci Bingham contributed three points, seven rebounds and three assists. Annslee Averett scored three points, and Mallory Hobson added two points in the victory.
At Warren Central, the Lady Vikes fell to Ridgeland 52-31. Camara Evans and Arrionna Jenkins each scored nine points to lead Warren Central. Ballet Duty finished with five points, while Ana Bridges and Kylee Chambers scored three points apiece. Keasia Williams added two points in the loss. The Warren Central boys also came up short against Ridgeland, dropping a 64-45 decision. Individual statistics have not been reported at this time.
Porter’s Chapel Academy was also in action Tuesday night but was unable to secure a win. The Lady Eagles suffered a 43-6 loss to Canton Academy, with Michaela Chambliss, Jayden Chapin and Raedon Busby each scoring two points. The PCA boys fell 55-18, led by Schaffer Bell with 10 points. Brantley Odom added three points, while Corvin Finch and Will Lancaster scored two points each.
