Storm Chances Persist Through Friday in Vicksburg
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Storm chances will continue to impact Vicksburg through the end of the workweek, with periods of heavy rainfall possible before conditions clear for the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Tonight brings a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Some storms could produce heavy rain, with new precipitation totals nearing an inch. Lows will dip to around 67 under mostly cloudy skies and calm winds.
On Thursday, storm chances will likely persist before 1 p.m., with additional chances for afternoon thunderstorms. Highs will reach near 82 with a 70 percent chance of rain and a southwest breeze at 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday night will see increasing clouds and a 40 percent chance of rain, with a low around 68.
Friday features scattered showers tapering off by early afternoon. Skies will be partly sunny, and the high will reach around 79. Conditions improve by Friday night, turning mostly clear with a low near 60 and light north winds.
