VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A stormy pattern will settle over Vicksburg this week, bringing multiple rounds of rain and a chance for severe thunderstorms through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low around 70 and a steady south wind near 10 mph.

Showers are expected Tuesday, with thunderstorms developing after 11 a.m. Some storms could be severe. The high will reach near 84 with an 80 percent chance of precipitation and up to three-quarters of an inch of rain possible.

Tuesday night will bring scattered storms, some potentially severe, and a low around 68.

On Wednesday, scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue, with a high near 84 and a 50 percent chance of rain. Patchy fog may develop Wednesday night, along with isolated showers and a low around 68.

The unsettled, stormy pattern continues Thursday with a mix of sun and clouds. Showers and storms are likely in the afternoon, especially after 1 p.m., with highs near 82 and a 60 percent chance of rain.
