Vicksburg Swim Association Shined at the Charlene Craddock Invitational

Vicksburg Swim Association’s meet in Cleveland this past weekend at the 2025 DAC Charlene Craddock Invitational was a success.
Highlights:
19 swimmers competed
65 personal best swims
274.4 combined seconds dropped
Five 1st place swims
Eighteen swims placed in the top 3
15 BB State Qualifying times, 1 A standard cut, and 1 AA standard cut
Individual Highlights:
Addison Billings earned 140 points for the team, placing 1st in the Girls 12&U 50YD Breast, Girls 12&U 100YD Back, and Girls 12&U 100YD IM. She placed 2nd in the Girls 12&U 50YD Free, Girls 12&U 100YD Free, Girls 12&U 50YD Back, and Girls 12&U 100YD Breast. She achieved 5 BB time standards, 1 A time standard, and 1 AA time standard.Â

Shelby Williams earned 83 points for the team, placing 2nd in the Girls 12&U 50YD Breast, Girls 12&U 100YD Back, Girls 12&U 50YD Fly, and Girls 12&U 100YD IM. Shelby also achieved her first BBÂ time standard, qualifying her to compete at the MS Swimming Short Course State Championship in February.Â

James McKenna earned 65 points for the team, placing 1st in the Boys Open 200YDÂ Free, 2nd in the Boys Open 100YDÂ Fly, and 3rd in the Boys Open 200YD Back.Â

Kara Rowe earned 99 Points for the team, placing in the top 5 on five of her seven events.

Mason Poole earned 69 points for the team, swimming personal best times and placing in in the top 8 on five of his six events.

Ella Opperman earned 50 points for the team, placing top 8 in all four of her events, and achieved a new BB time standard, making her a welcome addition to the 2025 State Team.Â

VSA will compete in one more regular season meet on the weekend of February 1-2, before travelling to Biloxi for the MS Swimming Short Course State Championships February 13-16.
