Kei’Mya Walton named Alcorn State Cheerleader of the Week

Kei’Mya Walton, a Vicksburg native, has been named Alcorn State University’s Cheerleader of the Week following her performance during the Braves’ recent football game. Walton is also a co-captain and was previously honored as Cheerleader of the Year.

Kei’Mya Walton, a Vicksburg native, has been selected as Alcorn State University’s Cheerleader of the Week.

Alcorn State Cheerleading Honors

The ASU cheerleading program announced the honor Sunday, one day after the Braves completed their second football game of the season.

Kei’Mya Walton’s Achievements

Walton was on the sidelines Saturday in Hattiesburg as Alcorn State faced the University of Southern Mississippi.

The junior continues to earn recognition within the cheerleading program. Walton was named Alcorn State’s Cheerleader of the Year in April and is serving as one of the team’s co-captains this season.

Walton is a 2024 graduate of Vicksburg High School. At Alcorn State, she cheers under head coach Dr. Timothy Queen and Kala Blanton.
